Stanley Jaki

Stanley L. Jaki, o.s.b., né le à Győr et mort le à Madrid[1], est un prêtre bénédictin.

Biographie

Diplômé de l'université Fordham en physique en 1957, il enseigna l'épistémologie à l'université Stanford, à l'université de Californie à Berkeley, à l'université de Princeton et à l'Institute for Advanced Study. Il s'intéressait notamment aux rapports entre la foi chrétienne et les dernières avancées de la science. Il fut professeur de physique à l'université Seton Hall (New Jersey, États-Unis), théologien et historien des sciences[2].

Dans son livre God and the Sun at Fatima (1999), il a discuté de la « danse du soleil », miracle qui serait survenu en mai 1917 lors des apparitions de Fatima au Portugal.
